Harcourts Inside

IN FOUNDATION Australia Update As the Harcourts Foundation family continues to meet its promise to provide support that helps, grows and enriches its community, we are delighted and excited to announce that Pauline Smith has been appointed Head of the Harcourts Foundation. Pauline brings passion and long experience of charity work in general, and the Harcourts Foundation in particular. “I’m humbled and honored to join each of the State’s Foundation Ambassadors in the essential work the Foundation helps to make happen,” comments Pauline. “Harcourts Foundation Grants make a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable people in our community, providing them with vital resources and opportunities to overcome challenges, build resilience, and unlock their full potential.” Grant Round 60 - 4 November 2023 to 3 February 2024 - has been one of the biggest grant rounds yet given, with organisations and charities from across Australia enabled to begin, or continue, to help those in need. In Victoria, Maddie Riewoldt’s Vision, Southern Cross Kids Camp - High Country Camp, and For Change Co. Ltd (pictured), an organisation combating youth homelessness through running their own café, each received grants. The Backpack Venture in NSW, Foodbank of South Australia Incorporated in SA, and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital Foundation in Queensland all benefited from grants. $16,800 went to Launceston PCYC (Police and Citizens Youth Club) in Tasmania (pictured) to fully fund a special 8-week program focused on building resilience, self-esteem and encouraging positive relationships among at-risk youth. One of the latest exciting initiatives is a partnership between the Harcourts Foundation and Inspirational Women called ‘It’s Cool to be in School’ which will provide school essentials to children from four orphanages in Fiji (pictured). “Whether the organisation in need is large or small, the Harcourts Foundation is proud to be there, facilitating the generosity of the Harcourts network in supporting their local community. Together, we make it possible.” 34 INSIDE Harcourts
