community For those who want to have a more active involvement – you are welcome to nominate for a position on the BCA committee, either as an office bearer or as a committee member. New members are welcome to stand for any vacated position – your enthusiasm and expertise will be valued, whatever you bring to the table, and you are sure to find the experience enriching and rewarding. Nominations for office and committee membership close at 5pm on Friday 9th March 2018. Nomination forms can be obtained from the Secretary (secretary@bca.asn.au) or can be downloaded from www.bca.asn.au/forms-downloads/ For those considering nominating: The BCA Secretary shall give at least three (3) weeks’ notice of the meeting to all members. Nominations of candidates for election as office-bearers of BCA or as non-office bearer committee members shall be invited for the AGM at which the election is to take place, providing they are members of BCA and they accept the nomination. Please note that all nominations for all positions must be received in writing on the appropriate form no later than 5pm one (1) week prior (9th March) to the advised date of the AGM on Friday 16th March, 2018 . The process for Serving Notices (summarised): (a) delivered personally (b) mailed (with a stamp) (c) sent by email – if the member has provided an email address. Do you enjoy living in Bundanoon? Through its many sub-committees, the Bundanoon Community Association (BCA) hosts a wide variety of events, including Garden Ramble; Winterfest; Rex Cinema; Bundanoon Sings and Music at 10, to name a few, and everyone is welcome to attend their events, or join their group. Check the back of this JCG for all the committees – you may find something that interests you, or you may have suggestions for a new committee. BCA also publishes the Jordan's Crossing Gazette ( JCG ) each quarter. Not only is the Gazette the voice of BCA, it also acknowledges those interesting and talented members of our community in words and pictures – from the youngest to the oldest – and gives writers of all ages and standards the opportunity to see their words in print. We want to make Bundanoon an even better place for all. To do this, we need your help. By becoming a member of BCA, not only will you know what’s going on in the Village, but you can have your say on issues that affect you and maybe even find opportunities to give back to the community. We’re not looking for volunteers – though of course you’re welcome to become one.
