Choose your contractor wisely. There are lots of different pool companies in Perth, the best way to decide is by referrals from family and friends. Make sure you visit the showrooms so you can clearly understand the size and colour options available. Talk to a number of companies and go with the one you feel comfortable with and can trust, this is a big investment. Make sure the contractor is insured and check the warranty. Check the location. If you are looking at a fibreglass pool a sales person will come onsite and assess the location. They will check for sewer lines, electrical wires and also make sure the pool can be craned over the house. Concrete pools are a great option if the site is difficult or you are unable to get a crane in. A concrete pool will take longer to install, but they offer great flexibility for shape, size and depth. Try to position the pool in a location with lots of sun and away from large trees. all need to be considered. Do you want timber, concrete or paving for your hardscaping around the pool? Consider the plants you like and what will work in the area. Is the area narrow and do the plants get full sun?
