Age of Fishes The Age of Fishes Museum, one of only two fish fossil Museums in the world, contains 360-million- year-old, rare and unique fossil treasures. Located in Canowindra, the dig location is listed as a National Heritage site due to its international scientific significance. The museum is also home to a Science Education Research Hub, Visitor Information Centre and Gift Shop. Three very different exhibition spaces allow for the Gallery to present major surveys and retrospectives as well as local artist exhibitions. Since 2011, the Gallery has been a partner in the Orange Arts + Health Strategy, a ground- breaking initiative which provides access to original works from the permanent collection for staff and visitors at Orange Health Service.
