VIC - Brunswick TimFrlan, Commercial Managing Director, Brunswick, says yields in his part of Melbourne are around 5-6% for retail assets depending on the quality of the tenant, 5% for industrial properties, and about 6.5% for office space. According to Tim, industrial property is especially strong at themoment. He says, “We are seeing a lot of owner occupiers and self- managed super funds jump into the market chasing healthy returns.” Notably, Tim says owner occupiers are “saying goodbye to the landlord and buying their own premises”. In fact, many business owners are making offers to buy their current leased premises, driving offmarket sales.
