Everyone wants to live here !! It’s official. The Sunshine Coast is one of the most desirable places to live in Australia. Of course, those of us fortunate enough to live here don’t need stats to tell us what we've known for years. However the rest of the country is waking up to the fact we have an average winter temperature of 23 degrees (nice) and an average summer temperature of 29 degrees with a sea breeze (still nice). We have a high-speed internet submarine cable on the way, and in the wake of Covid-19 being able to work from a home office is real. The desire to live an hour out of cities is happening right across Australia. We are meeting plenty of Brisbane buyers at our open homes looking to get out of the city, and the trend is now continuing with Sydney and Melbourne buyers able to cross borders. The prices we are achieving for units and houses continues to rise. Property investors are steering away from the share market and looking for the security of bricks and mortar. Renovators are at last able to add value and make a profit despite our government taxes of stamp duty and capital gains tax (Don’t start me on dumb taxes!) All we need now is a few more listings! Please talk to us if you have a property to sell. There's not enough stock to meet the current demand. The pendulum has swung in favour of sellers, but as sure as the sun rises in the East and sets in the West, the pendulum will eventually swing back in favour of buyers.
