Thank you to our firefighters In the midst of what is one of the worst bushfire seasons on record, we would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the Central Coast branches of the Rural Fire Service and the work they continue to do to keep our homes and communities safe. The Somersby Rural Fire Service in particular have not only been fighting to save homes and communities but throughout last year they selflessly donated their time and vehicles to transport the donated items in our Farmers Drought Relief Drive to rural communities in need. As such, we would like to acknowledge them in particular for their dedication to helping their fellow Australians and hope to give back in any way we can. We will be accepting donations, however small, to support the families of the Somersby Rural Fire Service members who have had their finances impacted by taking time away from their own jobs and businesses this festive season in order to fight fires on our behalf. Simply drop into our office and pop a few spare coins into the Rural Fire Service collection bin. Whilst the bin is in our office we will be donating our change on a daily basis too. Between us and our local community, we hope to reach a small but meaningful amount that will help these volunteers & their families get back on their feet after a horror bushfire season and, perhaps even more importantly, feel appreciated for the dangerous work they do on our behalf. Thank you to all our selfless rural firefighters for your ongoing service.
