We’ve seen record prices smashed, 90%+ auction clearance rates and the highest levels of buyer enquiry since 2016. Record low interest rates, a huge increase in confidence and a shortage of supply is generating ‘FOMO’ and as a result, buyers are moving fast and paying unprecedented prices to put themselves in the box seat to secure a piece of Upper North Shore real estate. We expect to see these positive selling conditions throughout 2021, as strong buyer confidence and the supply/demand equation will continue to swing market conditions in the favour of sellers. It’s easy for agents to become complacent in climates such as these, as they rely on the market to carry results and bring deals together. However, nowmore than ever is the time to engage with an agent who has a clear, refined strategy, extensive market knowledge, a strong track record and reach into the right pool of buyers.
