The Upper North Shore property market did anything but hibernate throughout the winter months and proved to be an exciting time for many homeowners. With COVID-19, there was the expectation that the market was going to pull back. Despite the uncertainty, the area has performed extremely well and there continues to be strong demand from buyers. Prices remain buoyant, defying the negative predictions from the many economists of prices falling. In the current climate, demand is outstripping supply, and this lack of stock is working in the vendor’s favour. With indications that low stock numbers will continue for the balance of the year, we can expect prices to remain firm for the next few months. We don’t knowwhat’s around the corner, but we do know that right now buyers are plentiful, interest rates are low, and stock is still limited, creating high demand for particular homes.
