2020 has been a year like no other. The year started with no sign of what was to come and by April, our offices had closed, our teamworked remotely, inspections were by appointment, and gone were onsite auctions. After a difficult 6 week period, enquiries picked up, the industry was reopened and with new social distancing protocols, and we recommenced selling and what followed was our busiest year on record. Last year we saw record results, high clearance rates, low stock levels and motivated buyers. At the time of printing, my team and I have sold 95 properties for the year with a total property value exceeding $279million. Like many businesses and industries, 2020 was a year for our business to adapt to change and through this period find a way to grow. We’re confident the economic recovery is underway, and the property market stands to benefit fromwhat we see as favourable conditions; low interest rates and general confidence that property prices have stabilised.
