Welcome to my first report for 2018. I take this opportunity to look back at what was certainly a busy last quarter of 2017 in our local real estate market.We did see prices cool off a little at the end of the year however early signs are pointing towards the market stabilising and a lot of new buyer activity for 2018. There are also some exciting new infrastructure projects on the Northern Beaches (Northern Beaches Hospital, B-Line buses, Beaches Link Tunnel) which are creating lots of buzz from locals and out of area buyers looking to explore the option of living in the area.These initiatives in conjunction with Sydney’s population continuing to surge and a constant under supply of housing, will keep the demand high for good property. Our agency was thrilled to have sold 195 properties in 2017, with the majority being sold by Auction.The highest house sale price was $4,850,000 and the lowest was $1,400,000. We are excited about the year ahead and have some amazing properties coming to market throughout the year. My team and I are extremely thankful for the trust that Collaroy residents have bestowed upon us over the past 12 months.
