Sept 2022 FREOGRAPHIC NEWS 2 Pat Hallaran President In honour of life member Grace Munday and her legacy to the club. The winner of best landscape image overall for August print or digital was Wheatbelt Storm by Ben Clark. He received the perpetual Grace Munday trophy, presented by Michael Munday and Tony Hewitt. News One of our first Education presenters this year was Martine Perret who has a wonderful portfolio of aerials and Indigenous elders on display at the Margaret River Arts Festival, which I was lucky enough to visit last weekend. What an opportunity to visit a number of fantastic galleries and artists across the spectrum of creativity. I never cease to be amazed at the innovation, imagination and creativity of some people (and yes, I did take a few sneaky snapshots to stimulate my inspiration). I shared one of Martine’s Facebook posts in our Club FB site that highlights one of the amazing events she ran on that same weekend, which was a projection of her images onto a peppercorn tree on the property where her studio is located on.. WOW. Looking forward to catching up with everyone soon in person, and don’t forget to get out and get that amazing Abstract image for our next competition in October.
