1 We’re back in the hall and huge thanks to everyone – around 25 of you in person and 3-5 on Zoom -- who have attended this month’s meetings. It’s fantastic to be back to digital AND prints — almost feels like back to normal, except for all the hand sanitiser! A big shout out of appreciation to Pat who has worked so hard to make the meetings run concurrently in the hall and online. No mean feat! Congratulations to Nadine Henley whose image Lone Tree won the inaugural Grace Munday trophy for best landscape photograph in this month’s competition. Judge Tony Hewitt said there were five or so images that really impressed him, but after speaking with Michael Munday who presented the trophy, Tony decided on an image which was monochromatic and innovative – elements that Grace loved in photography. It was a very special night. Stay tune for news as to whether the Perth National Photography Exhibition will be held now that the Royal Show has been cancelled. Many of you will be mid-way through preparing your prints for the exhibition, but the hope is that judging still might happen. On a brighter note, the Fremantle Port Authority sponsorship funds are in, and a new laptop and projector are currently being sourced for use in a couple of months. The Port Authority are planning a community event down at A Shed in November and have invited us to participate so please watch out for more on that. I’ll see you all in a month – I’m off to ‘wander out yonder’ and celebrate a BIG birthday under the stars in Karijini.
