I’m hoping we can arrange some informal outings in and around Fremantle, so if you have any ideas for impromptu places to go let us all know. In any case watch your emails for last-minute suggestions. Our competition night was a challenge for judge Kim McAvoy who was very generous with her interpretation of the subject and provision of insights into how to improve. After our education presenter fell ill and had to withdraw at the last minute, Pat and Adam generously stepped in to save the night with a very useful, hands-on tutorial about judging and a quick demonstration on how to remove unsightly elements in a photo using layers in Photoshop. It was a top night and thanks again to them both. Get your images ready for the 2021 ClickWest competition opening on 3 May, and also have a think about going along to the Army Museum’s A Night at the Museum on 16 and 17 April – might be some great opportunities for night time photography with unusual subjects. The club meets at 7.30pm on the first and third Tuesday of every month (except January) at the North Fremantle Community Hall: 4 Thompson Road, North Fremantle (Harvest Road end).
