FREO GRAPHIC November 2020 7 Photography is such a diverse and interesting art where the old and the cutting edge meet. Where philosophy meets psychology and everything in between. We are lucky as a club to have such a wealth of experience in our members. Whether you’ve just picked up a camera for the first time, or have been playing around with light for most of your life, there’s always something new to learn. To promote some visibility and help identify club educational opportunities I’d encourage everyone to reply to this email and share a little about your experience, interests and aspirations. Of course you don’t have to if you don’t want to. Some examples might include: Your photography interests i.e. Film / Digital, Various Genres, Printing, exhibiting, etc. What Camera System(s) you use i.e. Canon, Fuji, Nikon What Post Production Software you use i.e. Adobe (Lightroom, Photoshop etc.), Nik Collection, Capture One etc. and your level of experience (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced) What topics you would like to learn more about next year i.e. Photography fundamentals, Judging, Black and White Photography, Macro, Portraiture, Flash, Fine Art, Sports, Light modifiers, printing etc. If you’d like to become a mentor or are perhaps toying with the idea please let me know and I’ll start pulling together a list. We have so many opportunities to learn these days with access to massive amounts of content online, including the video experience offered on Youtube and the like.
