This follows the NSW Government’s $350 million redevelopment of Gosford Hospital in 2019 that was the catalyst for the University of Newcastle to co-locate and invest $72.5 million in a Clinical School and Research Institute adjacent to the hospital. The University of Newcastle Central Coast Clinical School and Research Institute is a nation-leading health, medicine and wellbeing teaching and education facility focussing on integrated healthcare, medical education, research and innovation in addressing the health needs of the local population.
