I was going to have to get the owner to have it serviced. I flicked on the spotlight on out the back and went to chain it up again. I froze. Water was spilling out onto the ground from the top of the tank, and the discharge pipe from the windmill just kept pumping water in. I chained it off before the tank burst or the yard flooded. I walked to the well and looked in. The moon was full and directly above me. No rubbish. Just my reflection in the clean, clear water. I got a cloth and some paint stripper and started on the ‘H’. 65
