J A C K A U S T R A L I A 20 ‘Bare Bones’ came out of a love of KEEPING THINGS SIMPLE. By simplifying the little things in life, I believe that you create yourself more space to enjoy the big things in life - to stay in the moment and not be caught up in all the noise. T ell us a little about Bare Bones? Around 3 years ago the wallet I was using gave up the ghost. Because I over analyze everything, I’d already had a mental list of what I would do differently if I could make my own version. I’d just met a leather worker through friends and ran an idea past him about this minimal, slim wallet I wanted to make. I asked if he could help me put together a prototype and educate me about the process - luckily, for me, he was happy to help. Five months later, after trying different sizes and testing it rigorously, we landed on a winner. I was really excited about it and would show any/everyone. I decided to put it in production - with one design in one colour. I saved up for the first production run and called it ‘Bare Bones’ which, at the time, not only seemed fitting due to the design approach, but also due to the fact that there was only one style and colour available.
