Solutions: Ensure dogs are kept indoors at night in particular in known koala habitat, and implementing dog owner and dog behaviour training and education programs to minimise conflicts between koalas and domestic dogs. Domestic livestock, both horses and cattle, have been known to attack and stomp on koalas in paddocks. This occurrence is more common when horses have foals, or cattle have young calves to protect. If you observe your livestock interacting aggressively towards koalas, please report this incident immediately to the Wildlife Rescue contacts listed in the contacts section at the rear of this booklet. 14
