CO-CURRICULAR 212 ST PATRICK’S COLLEGE STRATHFIELD LUMEN 2024 The 2024 ISA Tennis season was a remarkable year for St Patrick’s College, showcasing the dedication, sportsmanship, and talent of our student-athletes. This season, our players embodied SPC’s values, delivering memorable performances that underscored their commitment to excellence on the court. Our Second IV and Division 10 teams earned the title of ISA Runners Up, a tribute to their teamwork and resilience throughout the season. Their achievements exemplify the high standards our tennis program strives to uphold. Individual accomplishments were equally impressive, highlighted by Lucas Martin’s selection to the ISA Representative Team, an honour that reflects his hard work and the strength of our tennis program. Our junior players also made significant strides, laying a solid foundation for the future of SPC Tennis. Their skill development and consistency in their respective divisions signal the emergence of promising future talent for our college. These young players are poised to become the stars of SPC Tennis in the years to come, and we look forward to their continued growth. Despite the season’s challenges, including frequent rain, injuries, and illnesses, our teams demonstrated resilience and adaptability. The experience has strengthened our resolve to push even further, raising our standards as we look to the next season. Such challenges only highlighted the dedication and tenacity of our players and coaches alike. Our success would not be possible without the commitment and expertise of our coaching team. Professional coach Ms Aimy Chen, alongside staff coaches Mr Christopher Chon, Miss Felicia Ho, Mr Thomas Svicarovich, and returning old boy Mr Matthew Papavramidis, provided invaluable guidance and support, fostering a positive and growth-oriented environment. Their dedication has been instrumental in our program’s success. We are also deeply grateful to our parents for their unwavering support, balancing academics and athletics, and encouraging their children to excel in both. Their support has been invaluable in enabling our student-athletes to thrive. As we bid farewell to our graduating Year 12 players—Captain Kieran Low and teammates Quentin Zhou, Oliver O’Rourke, Adam Feng, Yun Yi, and Jaiken Poon—we acknowledge their lasting impact on the SPC tennis community. Their contributions over the years have helped build a strong foundation for future players. Looking forward to the 2025 season, SPC Tennis remains committed to pursuing excellence with renewed energy and enthusiasm.
