The idea for Good Day had been bubbling away in my head for years; then while I was on maternity leave with my daughter, our beautiful Perry Street storefront became available and I knew it was time to jump in and give it a go! I have always had a desire to create my own space that felt good. That is really the crux of the Good Day mission, that everyone has a Good Day. What do you live about running your business? The people!!! It is what I missed about working as a designer, I adore the day to day chatting to customers! There is no better feeling than helping a customer find their perfect new dress, restyle their living room or buy a gift for a loved one. What’s on the horizon for 2024? We have just launched our newest offering of vintage clothing (which I am SO excited about) and is already proving popular. Tell us about your business The Beauty Reclaimed Cosmetic Centre is Mudgee’s premier cosmetic, skin and beauty treatment centre. It specialises in cosmetic injectables, laser & skin treatments, pelvic floor strengthening, beauty and make-up services. What inspired you to start your business? I felt there was a need for a permanent injectables clinic in Mudgee, in order for clients to be followed up with appropriate aftercare. Initially I though this would be a nice side hustle to my hospital job, but I soon realised the demand for the services was greater than I had expected. There was a natural progression to introduce medical grade skincare, to expand the injectable results, which ultimately led to lasers, IPL, peels, skin and beauty offerings. Favourite thing about doing business in Mudgee? The local support and community.
