Offering a variety of buildings and infrastructure, the showground is regularly used for annual shows, events and activities. The grounds are a popular venue for horse riding enthusiasts, with stabling facilities, dressage arena and oval. The grounds also boast a pavilion for weddings, birthdays and other events. Rylstone Showground offers several open grassed areas, including a large main arena which is enclosed by post and rail fencing. The grounds are used for sporting events by local soccer groups, Pony Club groups and as a rodeo arena during the Rylstone Show. The smaller ovals adjacent to the main arena are also used for dog shows and working dog trials. Mudgee Town Hall Theatre is a multi-functional cultural space capable of hosting live theatre, shows, balls, meetings, weddings, exhibitions, movie screenings and other large events. The theatre seats up to 200 people and includes a large curtained stage, green room, dressing rooms, showers and toilets, small kitchen and professional audio-visual system.
