I collect experiences; particularly the experience of living in Australian society. I collect knowledge; about the human condition, existentialism, critical and gender theory. I collect knowledge by asking questions, by being inquisitive and by trying to stay open minded. I collect materials; I collect old, used materials, the antithesis of capitalist production. I collect iconic imagery; I collect imagery from the Canon to question established narratives and contemporary notions of society in Australia, specifically to do with marginalisation, class and gender conditioning. Finally, I create. I paint, draw, stitch, knead and hand build clay. I experiment, fail, overlay, tear & mend. Represented by C Gallery
