Joe Whyte is a Naarm/Melbourne-based Visual Artist. After graduating from Monash University with a degree in Visual Communication, he spent time studying classical figure drawing and painting in Argentonnay, France. Working in oils, his intricate works draw inspiration from the people, the places and the light of the place he knows best, Melbourne’s inner-north. His work examines the human connection between those of us living in large cities. At the core of this work is his study of the figure, an ongoing focus. Joe has exhibited widely and has been a finalist of many awards both nationally and internationally.
