Its soft, gentle curves flow effortlessly from the sandstone as it transitions into the timber below. I feel it is reminiscent of a leaf as it gets caught in an unexpected breeze. 130 - Michael Ferris (Mudgee) Title - Forest (220 x 100 x 30cm) Materials - Stone, steel, ironbark plinth Price - $3,500 Artist’s Statement - A forest can be a mysterious place full of fairy tales and legends. I wanted to recreate this child like memory in a new abstract and modern way. This sculpture highlights how life thrives within the parameters of the forest.
