At the Namanga border post, complete your visa formalities before continuing to Arusha, the country’s safari capital, for lunch. Your next stop is Lake Manyara National Park, a jewel of the Great Rift Valley. This lush park offers a mix of dense forests, open floodplains, and the sparkling lake itself. This afternoon’s game drive may reveal the park’s most famous residents— tree-climbing lions. Other sightings could include elephant herds, playful primates, giraffe, and countless bird species.
