TOP SIRE 2026–2027 NSW SHOW AND SALE RESULTS 1– 2– 3– 4– NSW State Sheep Show Friday 22 to Sunday 23 May 2026 | Dubbo Showground A superfine wool ram and ewe from the Cox family’s Bocoble stud claimed top honours in the Merino ring at the NSW State Sheep Show, held in conjunction with the annual Dubbo Show. They exhibited the Grand Champion Ewe, which came from the August shorn Poll Merino classes, and the Grand Champion Ram, which rose through the March shorn classes and went on to claim the overall Supreme Champion Merino Exhibit of the show. Lindsay Brown, Elders, Dubbo, oversaw the judging, commenting on the carcass of both exhibits. “(The ram) has a tremendous carcass for his wool type,” he said. “He is very structurally correct with a nice, even fleece. It’s very rare to see a superfine wool type with that sort of carcass.” The ewe also displayed a stylish, white, bright fleece, he said. “She is a well-presented ewe,” he continued. “She has a tremendous carcass with legs in all four corners.” The Bocoble ram continued on to win the Champion Long Wool Interbreed Ram of the show.
