6 About the Authors The Rev’d Canon StephenDaughtry is Parish Priest of Belair in South Australia and an Education Missioner for ABM. Born in the UK, Steve grew up in Townsville and lived in NSW and the ACT before moving to SA nearly thirty years ago. He began his career as an actor before moving into arts ministry. He was, for twelve years, Artistic Director of Company of Sinners, a theatre company he founded with his partner, Vanessa. Steve worked for ABM for over a decade, in the areas of Youth, Mission Education and Communications, making over twenty short docos. After working as Media Officer for the Diocese of Adelaide, he was ordained deacon in 2011 and priested the following year. He is a published poet and soccer tragic. Should you ever visit Coopers Stadium, he and Matthew can often be heard singing the praises of referees! The Rev’dDr Associate ProfessorMatthewAnstey: Matthew is a leading Australian Old Testament academic with an international reputation in the area of Biblical Hebrew linguistics. Matthew is Higher Degree Research Program Director at Alphacrucis College, Australia. He is a Research Fellow in the Public and Contextual Theology (PaCT) Strategic Research Centre of Charles Sturt University (CSU), a Visiting Research Fellow in Linguistics, The University of Adelaide, and an Honorary Research Associate Professor (School of Historical and Philosophical Inquiry), University of Queensland. Matthew is also a member of the Doctrine Commission of the Anglican Church of Australia. Matthew’s scholarly interests extend into Biblical Studies and Christian theology. He has published on Genesis, Jonah, Habakkuk, the interpretation of narrative and poetry, scripture, creation, same-sex marriage, and human flourishing. When not doing academic work, Matthew enjoys cooking, gardening, poetry, music, and coffee and conversation. He lives in Adelaide with Liz and their three children.
