Population and other demographic data Incomepro le The number of people with incomes less than $1,000 per week is 174,816 or 65.4% of the population. Those with an income of more than $2,000 per week 15,195. The population table on Pages 32 and 33 contains the median personal income for each suburb with comparisons from the 2011 Census. It shows the suburbs where personal income has increased at a higher rate than others and indicates that a more affluent group are moving into the region. The NSW Government’s Central Coast Regional Plan 2036, announced in 2016, projects population to grow by 75,000 over the next 20 years. AgePro le The age structure of the Central Coast population at the time of the 2016 Census shows that the population continues to age with 68,566 people over the age of 65 years representing 21% of the total population – up from 19% in 2011. Those in the 0-34 age group now represents 40.8% compared with 42.5% in 2011.
