T3 TERMINAL REVAMP Flying out of Sydney’s T3 Domestic Terminal? Don’t rush through, something is changing, and you’ll want to savour it. A bold new dining precinct will soon take place, turning a once-practical space into a curated experience of food, comfort and design – with 14 more dining brands to be added to the T3 selection. In airports, details matter. A smooth check-in. A clear sign. A meal that feels like a moment, not a compromise. Sydney Airport’s T3 developments taps into this truth, showing that how we travel is just as important as where we go. The new dining precinct is more than a facelift, think of it as a reimagining of what travellers want now: authenticity, quality and a sense of place. Whether you’re racing for a regional meeting or easing into a weekend away, you’ll find spaces that reflect contemporary tastes and values. Imagine settling in with a rich Italian espresso from Maggio’s, the North Shore’s cult pasticceria. Or unwrapping a warm, nostalgic burger from Slim’s Quality Burger, made with high-quality locally sourced ingredients. Sweet tooth? Loulou’s buttery croissants and French treats are designed for indulgence – and Instagram. Thoughtful touches like upgraded seating, better signage and greenery soften the pace of travel, inviting you to slow down and enjoy the in-between. This isn’t just an airport update. It’s your new pre-flight ritual. Come early. Come hungry. 8 Travel + Lifestyle
At Slim’s, simplicity meets quality. Enjoy timeless burger favourites in a laidback setting that’s all about great taste, quick service and keeping you fuelled for your journey. Scan to find out more about the T3 developments and what’s to come. Serving up authentic Italian flavours, Maggio’s brings handmade pasta, woodfired pizzas and freshly baked pastries to T3 – comfort food with a modern twist. SYD Magazine 9

1 6 Travel + Lifestyle Face it – not all frames are created equal. Discover how to choose sunglasses that suit your face shape, elevate your style and travel as well as you do. FRAME IN MIND 1.Prada, Black Cat Eye sunglasses, Heinemann 2. Celine, Triomphe Metal 01 sunglasses 3. Gentle Monster, Gisele T1 sunglasses 4. Gucci, Black Acetate SquareFrame Double G sunglasses, Heinemann Words by LANA AL HABL The secret to finding the right pair of sunglasses is achieving balance. A well-chosen frame complements your natural features and overall look without taking over. Oddly enough, opposites attract: if your face leans more angular, curved styles like round or oval frames can soften the lines, while square or structured shapes can bring contrast to softer, more rounded faces. Classic aviators work beautifully on longer or heart-shaped faces because of their timeless silhouette that flatters a range of proportions. If you’re thinking oversized, these frames can be elegant and statement-making, provided they suit your scale. Luxury eyewear takes these fundamentals and refines them; sculptural forms, subtle detailing and quality finishes turn practicality into something quietly elevated. Pair bold acetate frames with relaxed resort wear for contrast, or choose lightweight metal designs to add polish without effort or extra accessorising. Fit is also just as important as style. Frames should sit comfortably on the bridge of your nose and align with your temples without feeling tight. If you’re between sizes, opt for a slightly larger fit for all-day ease. Ultimately, the best sunglasses should feel like a natural extension of you, and be effortless, functional and considered. Whether you’re poolside, street-side or mid-flight, they should frame your face and your style. 1 2 3 4

One of the world’s best foodie destinations, Hong Kong is a treat for the tastebuds. Here are some of its most iconic dishes, and where to find them should you find yourself exploring the city. HONG KONG FEAST Words by AMANDA WOODS 20 Travel + Lifestyle
PINEAPPLE BUNS Bolo baos are a piece of Hong Kong culinary history, and while they translate to pineapple bun, no pineapples are involved. They’re named after the crispy, golden topping resembling pineapple skin on a milk bread bun. For one of the best, head to the Sai Kung Café & Bakery in scenic Kung Hoi Pong Square and add a hunk of butter for effect. FISHBALLS These street food stars often come on bamboo sticks and can have varying degrees of fish in them. While most are now machinemade at Tak Hing, you can try true, handmade fishballs by Master Lam at Wong Lam Kee on the eastern district of Hong Kong island. WONTON NOODLE SOUP Combining wontons, blanched noodles, fragrant broth and leafy Chinese vegetables is a comfort food winner. At Good Hope Noodle in bustling Mong Kok, winner of the Famous Chinese Cuisine award for their Wonton Bamboo Noodles, you can try noodles expertly made with bamboo poles. DIM SUM Load up the lazy Susan with dim sum delights like har gow (shrimp dumplings), siu mai (pork and mushroom dumplings) and char siu bao (barbecue pork buns). For tradition, try Luk Yu Tea House, or go upscale at two-Michelin-starred Lung King Heen. EGG TARTS If buttery, flaky pastry filled with sweet and glossy egg custard is your thing, these moreish morsels are a delicious treat. For some of the best, the traditional Tai Cheong Bakery has been serving them warm out of the oven for more than 70 years. ↘ GETTING THERE Fly direct from Sydney Airport to Hong Kong with ease.
