We have successfully completed a NDIS re-certification Audit with stage 1 completed in July 2023 and stage 2 onsite audit completed in October 2023. An assessment team of quality assessors from the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission conducted a Quality Audit of our aged care services in April and May 2024 to assess whether the quality of care and services being provided to consumers meet the Aged Care Quality Standards. As at the 30 June 2024 the final Performance Report was not received. Both audits have been well supported by Gill Mahoney, Quality Coordinator. New Aged Care Governance requirements were introduced from 1 December 2023 with the introduction of the Consumer Advisory Body and the Quality Care Advisory Body. To continually improve governance and practice we have welcomed an Aged Care Business and Workforce Advisory Service consultancy in February 2024 with a focus on financial management and related workforce matters. We were also thrilled to receive a Department of Health Service Development Assistant Panel Grant (SDAP) to receive high level consultancy in relation to strategic, business, workforce and clinical consultancy. The project commenced in May 2024 and will finish in February 2025. We acknowledge and appreciate the support of many organisations, service providers and suppliers with whom we work across our communities.
