RH Commercial Insight
3 Commercial Insight May 2020 From The Directors Desk As 2020 fast approaches the half way mark, it has certainly provided our Nation with unprecedented challenges to be navigated at all levels whether local, state or federally. It is a year that will never be forgo tt en, but as a community we will rebound from these challenges. At Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane Southside & Bayside we have remained fully operational throughout this period, albeit in a di ff erent capacity as our operatives work remotely from home to assist our clients. In addition private property inspections have still been occurring whilst abiding by the Social Distancing policies put in place by authorities. There is no doubt business is di ff erent right now and many are facing a challenging time. We are here to help with any advice you may need from a property perspective. The term “we are all in this together” has been widely used and there is no doubt in our minds that this term is very valid when it comes to the property industry and the relationships between all parties associated with a property. This publication has been developed to be used as a reference guide for a variety of topics related to COVID-19 and how they apply from both a legal and practical perspective. We have called upon experts in their various fi elds to provide clear and concise summaries for your information. So what does the future hold as we hopefully get closer to “seeing the light at the end of the tunnel” in this pandemic? There is no doubt the property market somewhat stalled when restrictions were put in place to help fl a tt en the curve. Over the last 2 weeks prior to issuing this publication we have seen a steady increase in enquiry on property and also some transactions occurring. With interest rates remaining at record lows we believe business con fi dence will return and the property market will reignite once again. Although there has been many industries e ff ected catastrophically by the pandemic we are also aware of many businesses continuing to thrive and in some instances increasing their turnover. We also believe the way in which many organisations operate may change as this situation has provided a forced insight into how business can be completed in a more e ffi cient and / or di ff erent way. If you would like to share how you have changed your business model and the way you do things we would love to hear from you and share ideas! We hope you fi nd the information in this publication helpful and we would welcome any questions you may have and also happy to introduce you to the experts who have contributed.
