Shying away from nepotism With his education complete, it would have been the easiest thing in the world for Angus to step straight into the family business, never venturing beyond Raine & Horne. However, he was 32-years-old before he properly entered the family business, having spent previous years honing his skills elsewhere. Angus was educated at Temple Emanuel and Woollahra Public School, then at the Cranbrook School, Bellevue Hill. By his own choice, and strongly encouraged by his father Max, he went straight into Property Management and Commercial Leasing at Raine & Horne Commercial North Sydney, and from there to Commercial Leasing with city firms including Debenham Tewson Hickson (now Cushman & Wakefield), Knight Frank and First Pacific Davies (now Savills). 49
