Repairing The Breach

The question is, what things do we hold on to, and assume belong to us, to control and use? Our theology? Our spaces? Our preferred music style? Our money? The truth is that we all withhold things from God, and from those he wants us to share with, because sharing has a cost and is uncomfortable. Will we confess our transgressions to the Lord? Or will we continue to keep silence and, like the brother, complain about God’s heart for grace, mercy, and love? What do you think of this approach to these readings?
