Brushings/Washings Smear Cytology

CYTOLOGY SMEAR (or washings)

Label slide clearly in pencil with patient name and

date of birth, type of specimen and site. Prepare

smear and fix with spray fixative or immerse in 95%

alcohol for 20 minutes. Allow to air dry completely

before placing in slide container.

C Peptide

Refer patient to collection centre

Patient should be fasting 8 hours.
