Progesterone (P2) –Day 21

Collect on day 21 of menstrual cycle.

Prolactin

Patient should rest for 15 minutes prior to

collection.

Prostate Health Index (phi)

Refer patient to collection centre

Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA)

PLAIN TUBE OR GEL TUBE

Free PSA will only be done if Medicare criteria is met.

Medicare criteria for testing:

Total PSA is above the age-related median and

below or equal to the age-related upper reference

limit. (1 episode in a 12 month period) or

ƒ

If Total PSA is above the age-related upper

reference limit , but below 10 ug/L (up to 4

episodes for free PSA in a 12 month period

Prostatic Specific Antigen Free/Total

Ratio (Free PSA)
