Harcourts Gold understand that by working with charities such as Full Bellies and Kidscan that they can directly impact the lives of kiwi kids who are affected by poverty. Their $10,000 donation in September to Full Bellies is now feeding over 60 children in a local school, twice a week, whilst their amazing $20,000 donation to Kidscan in October enabled them to ensure that fewer local tamariki experience hardship in their lives. Wellington Region The winner of theWellington Region Inspiration Awards for this quarter is well known andwell loved. This quarter the Cranford Hospice Trust were the worthy recipients of a staggering $352,440 raised at the Hawke’s BayWine Auction on 17 September via the support and sponsorship of the event by Harcourts Regent Realty. This total is a new record for the event and funds raised for hospice go directly towards supporting those in hospice care and their families at themost difficult of times. South Island Region The winner of the South Island Inspiration Awards for this quarter is highly regarded for supporting their local community. This quarter Stoke Toy Library Inc. received funding to expand the range of educational toys loaned to local families, Richmond Group Riding for the Disabledwere supported to update their fencing and keep their horses safe, the Mapua Community Library bought newbooks to update their collection, and The Nelson Squash Rackets Club Incorporated received new equipment to support their Junior Coaching Programme. Central Region This award recognises a franchise whose owners lead by example. Erin Kingston andWayne Pamment have continuously displayed a real passion for the foundation. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Rotorua received support to place five newmentors in local schools to function as positive rolemodels for local kids. The Aratika Cancer Trust received financial support to run a bespoke retreat for local people affected by cancer to relax, learn, and connect. And of course, we cannot forget tomention the glittering Dancing for Hospice event whichwas held in August and raised an incredible $130,000 for Rotorua Community Hospice. Northern Region The winner of the Northern Inspiration Award for this quarter is respected for their mammoth contribution to their community. With generous donations through the Harcourts Foundation, Blue Fern Realty have supported Redhills Community Kindergarten to update and replace their computers and laptops, andMatipo Primary School to update and restock their library.
