“For a travelling show, the comedians all knew
what they had to do to get a laugh, and had
the crowd in constant stitches… the talent on
show definitely left the crowd wanting more…”
– AU REVIEW, MAY 2015
The Sydney Comedy Festival has hand-picked
the funniest comedians from the 2015 festival
and are hitting the road to bring an all-star
comedy showcase right to your doorstep. For
the first time ever the tour will be heading to
Narrabri!
Boasting a line-up of the best local and inter-
national comics and showcasing some of the
funniest and freshest emerging talents, you will
be left sore from belly laughs due to this jam
packed night of pure entertainment!
The Showcase will include the wickedly absurd
flights of fancy of Cam Knight, the hilariously
deadpan John Cruckshank, the refreshingly
unique Mike Goldstein, the insightful wit of Katie
Burch, confirmed funnybot Gearard McGeown,
the razor-sharp Rhys Nicholson and the awe-
somely abstract Sam Campbell.
So call your pals, book the babysitter and grab
your tickets to the funniest night of entertain-
ment you will see all year!
The Narrabri Show line-up includes...
Cam Knight’s
fast one-liners and
wickedly absurd flights of fancy
almost take you by surprise with
their brilliance. Less surprising is
the fact that he trained as an ac-
tor and later found a home in the
stand-up comedy scene.
John Cruckshank
is making
huge waves on the national
comedy circuit with his clever
sharp and well paced jokes. His
laid back approach sucks you in
and is followed up by repeated
roundhouse kicks banging out the laughs. His
unassuming presence and brutal honesty make
for continuous laughs.
Having toured extensively around
the world,
Mike Goldstein
has
established himself as a unique
and refreshing young talent on
the international comedy circuit.
Winner of the 2009 RottoFest -
Best of the West Comedy Competition, Mike
has also been a Raw Comedy finalist, and the
Local Act Nominee at the 2011 Perth Interna-
tional Comedy Festival.
Katie Burch
is set to be one of
Australia’s most popular comedi-
ans. Her unique comic voice has
been delighting critics across the
country. In 2014 Katie was runner
up at the RAW Comedy National
Final. She impressed the crowd and judges alike
with her sandpaper-rough wit.
Writer performer and
Gearard
McGeown
is one of the local
legends of the Sydney comedy
scene. In 2013 & 2015 he was
a Raw Comedy State Final-
ist and 2015 he headlined the
prestigious Breakout Showcase for the Sydney
Comedy Festival.
Newcastle born and inbred,
Rhys
Nicholson
is one of Australia’s
most outstanding young co-
medians and craft enthusiasts.
Rhys’s brand of wry humour and
sardonic wit have developed his
trademark for hilarious social commentary.
Sam Campbell
is a beacon
of success and prosperity for
everybody. Since being crowned
the Queensland champion of the
2011 Raw Comedy competition
he has gone on to perform in
comedy rooms all over Australia. This year Sam
was nominated for Best Newcomer at Mel-
bourne International Comedy Festival and went
on to take out the award at Sydney Comedy
Festival for his show Cambo’s On Top.
