This well established clinical densitometry training course, with faculty drawn from

leading densitometry practitioners within Australia, is intended for both physicians

and

technologists. Material includes patho-physiology of osteoporosis, principles & practice

of bone densitometry (covering routine & paediatric scanning, body composition, quality

assurance, pitfalls, interpretation & reporting).

You should consider the course if you are:

• a current DXA operator seeking more formal training or advanced update of your work

practices

• a medical specialist with responsibility for bone density testing and reporting

• seeking deeper knowledge of the technological & quality assurance aspects of bone

densitometry measurements

Course Structure

• This intensive 2 day course includes

manufacturer specific

interactive workshops

utilising the latest and legacy software

• Participants are provided with an online course handbook prior to the course & should

read through all the material before they attend

• An online multiple choice examination is held two weeks after the course

• Upon course completion & achievement of a pass mark in the examination, participants

will be awarded a

Certificate of Completion in Clinical Bone Densitometry

• Participants may also seek

ANZBMS Densitometry Accreditation

after the course by

submitting specified material
