YEAR 10 REPORT

Throughout 2015 I have

had the privilege of working

closely with this amazing and

diverse group of year 10 girls.

Getting to know each of them

personally throughout the

year enabled me to see what

enormous potential each of

them has in their own unique

way.As

2015 OLMC graduates

they grew and developed over

the four years into beautiful,

confident women of Mercy, ready to take on the world.

I know they will treasure the memories of their time

here with their friends.

Memories of dressing up for their swimming and

athletics carnivals and the endless laps to achieve their

Bronze Medallion. Im’ sure they will never forget the

torture of running the 1.6km run or the incidental

exercise gained from walking through the maze going

cross country to get to their year 10 playground area

at the court.

Our beautiful retreat at Stanwell Tops left a lasting

impression. Mrs Layton with her beautiful colour

coordinated candles and knick knacks led us in song

and made us all think about who we are and who has

shaped our lives so far.

Mercy Day was fun with the costumes, the festivities,

and the celebration of our Mercy background. From

this and other facets of life at the College we hope that

these girls never forget their Mercy Heritage and try

to live Mercy in their every day lives.

Year 10 engaged wholeheartedly in many rewarding, fun

experiences. The end of year program including Work

Experience where they dressed up in their finest and

travelled all over the place to gain experience in the

workplace organised by Madam Rayer, the very moving

Graduation Mass, the Harbour Cruise and the Formal.

Year 10 homeroom teachers - Mr Moore, Ms Cheung

and Mrs Veldekis, Madame Pohl and Madame Rayer,

Mrs Rilkovski, Mrs Stevens, and Mrs Karis guided and

nurtured this unique group of girls and in addition to

myself, look forward to hearing of each of their life

pursuits.

It has brought me great pride as Year 10 Coordinator

this year watching the girls work hard and achieve

highly. I value each and every one of them as the

individuals they are.

I truly wish each Year 10 girl the best for their future

both educationally and personally.
