Well done to all of our photographers who had images submitted. This year’s theme was “This is Australia”, and by the look of the major winning Award entries, there were lots of standout iconic images with ANZAC, Sydney Harbour, Landscapes and Indigenous icons presented. Apparently, they are keeping with the Australia subject next year, but with a slightly dierent theme. We will keep an eye out and try and improve out placing. Talking of winning images, we are getting lots of fantastic images coming through in our monthly competition, with plenty of Golds being awarded from our esteemed judges. Our July competition saw a large number of Golds awarded, with our judge Craig Franke highlighting the wonderful eorts both in Digital and Print categories. Craig commented that he enjoys judging at Fremantle, because of the amazing range of images he’s allowed to assess and the variety that is always presented especially from our travelling members. The club meets at 7.30pm on the first and third Tuesday of every month (except January) at the North Fremantle Community Hall: 4 Thompson Road, North Fremantle (Harvest Road end). See the map at the bottom of our home page: www. fremantlecameraclub.com. The first Tuesday is an educational evening and the third Tuesday is competition night.
