A big thanks to our judges over the past couple of months, Chris Saunders, Jo Riley, and Nick Melidonis who have provided fantastic commentary and provided lots of useful feedback on our submitted images. It’s been great to hear constructive feedback about improving various aspects of our those images but always remember, its only one other persons (personal) opinion, what really matters is whether you like it or not… so keep taking those wonderful photos of what YOU like. Congratulations to those members who entered the 2024 WA Salon and had their prints accepted for exhibition at this year’s Salon including Shirley Johnson, Paul Anderson, Pat Halloran who won the Eizo Sponsors Prize, and Helen Rowbottom who took out the People’s Choice Award. Also well done to our members who were successful in the recent 2024 Spring in the Hills Competition, Anne Bonser who received 1st and 2nd in Scapes, Pat Halloran who got 1st in Open, 2nd in People and another in Top Ten, and 3rd in Scapes and another Top Ten, Helena Kristel Top Ten in Animals, and Steve Barnes who also got Top Ten in the Animals category. And of course, we cant forget our success in the 2024 PrintWest Competition this year, where Fremantle Camera Club won the overall Mono category, got 3rd in Colour and came 3rd overall amongst the other 22 WA Camera clubs who competed. Huge congratulations to all of our participating members who exhibited, and if you want to see the Exhibition, it will be at the Maritime Museum in Fremantle from early November through to February 2025. The club meets at 7.30pm on the first and third Tuesday of every month (except January) at the North Fremantle Community Hall: 4 Thompson Road, North Fremantle (Harvest Road end). See the map at the bottom of our home page: www. fremantlecameraclub.com. The first Tuesday is an educational evening and the third Tuesday is competition night. In addition there are social outings organised to improve and share our photography skills. See information in this month’s Freographic and on the website. Guests are always welcome.
