feel that is the case. That is what the Bible is about. When we walk backwards, we see the landscape and footprints of God, so we know which way to go. The campfires are backwards journeys. They are campfires of our elders who have left us but are still shining over us. We are reminded of our traditional stories that have been handed down as footprints for our journeys. Lent is a time for reviewing our lives. Looking at our footprints and, whilst walking backwards, moving forward in our God journey. We are always looking at the markers that show us our journey as we continue along the tracks of our ancestors’ songlines. 49
