CAST CONTINUED IMOGEN BAMBACK Ensemble Imogen began musical theatre classes at age 8 with Hunter Drama in 2013. A decade later, she is excited to make her debut with The Very Popular Theatre Company in Billy Elliot the Musical. Imogen has performed as part of the ensemble in numerous Hunter Drama productions, including Shrek the Musical JR., Disney’s Aladdin JR. and Sweet Charity. Imogen soared across the Civic Theatre stage as Peter Pan in Hunter Drama’s Peter Pan JR. JAMES CHAPMAN Mr Braithwaite James has worked as a professional performer for more than a decade, appearing in numerous projects on stage and screen. In 2015, he founded the award-winning theatre company Knock And Run Theatre. He is also currently Program Director at Hunter Drama and an Associate Producer for The Very Popular Theatre Co. An award-winning actor, James’ stage credits include Ideation (Knock And Run Theatre), Airness (Knock And Run Theatre), Trevor (Knock And Run Theatre), Oliver (Hunter Drama), Things I Know to be True (The Very Popular Theatre Company), Puffs (The Very Popular Theatre Company), Mamma Mia! (The Very Popular Theatre Company) and Circumference of a Squirrel (Knock And Run Theatre). Directing credits include She Kills Monsters (Hunter Drama), The Shawshank Redemption (Hunter Drama) and Two Point Oh (Knock And Run Theatre). SAMUEL BRIEN Ensemble Samuel has been involved in musical theatre since the age of 9 and has been performing in various musical ensembles inside and outside of school, leading him to receive an Encore nomination for his technical proficiency as a drummer in 2022. His theatrical performances include playing Buddy the Elf in Elf JR. (Young People’s Theatre), Melman in Madagascar A Musical Adventure JR. (Young People’s Theatre), Disney’s High School Musical: On Stage! (St Philip’s Christian College), and Disney’s Alice In Wonderland JR. (Young People’s Theatre). Currently studying a Bachelor of Music and Performing Arts at Newcastle University, Samuel’s connection with music and the creative arts has always been a passionate pursuit. Billy Elliot the Musical is Samuel’s debut with The Very Popular Theatre Company. ALEKSANDR COE Ensemble Aleksandr has been involved in the music industry for five years. Having recently completed his Diploma of Music Industry at Atwea College, he is hoping to continue his education in the music industry. Aleksandr has performed in many ensembles and also as a solo artist in Star Struck. With the Hunter Singers, Aleksandr has performed around the world and has recently headlined with the Swing Kings. Aleksandr’s other credits with The Very Popular Theatre Company include Jersey Boys and CHESS: The Musical. For Metropolitan Players, Aleks featured in 12 Angry Men. SIENNA COLLINS Ballet Girl Sienna has enjoyed performing from a young age and is excited to be making her musical theatre debut with The Very Popular Theatre Company in Billy Elliot the Musical. Starting out in ballet at the age of 3, she quickly turned her hand to other dance styles and has won a number of eisteddfods since then. Sienna has always been interested in a career in the performing arts and made her television debut in 2020 on children’s show I Am Me. She was most recently cast as Private the Penguin in the musical production of Madagascar A Musical Adventure JR. at Hunter School of Performing Arts but unfortunately broke her elbow just before opening night. 28
