WINTER 2025 Mid-Western Living | 25 The Mudgee Readers’ Festival - the largest regional literary event in the Central West - is back this August, and it’s shaping up to be one of the most exciting programs yet. Spanning two nights and three days, the festival will bring together some of Australia’s most engaging authors, thinkers and creatives for a celebration of books, ideas and community connection. This year’s official program launch takes place at the Festival’s much-loved Trivia Night on Friday 13th June. With the theme ‘All Killer, All Thriller’, the evening promises suspense, laughter, and a touch of mischief. Guests can expect brain-teasing trivia, fantastic prizes, a silent auction, grazing platters, local beverages - and a whole lot of literary-inspired fun. It’s also your first chance to get a sneak peek at what’s in store for August. The Festival itself will run from 15th–17th August, offering a vibrant mix of author talks, panel discussions, workshops and social events. Of course, none of it would be possible without the incredible support of the Festival’s dedicated volunteers. Their warmth, enthusiasm and behind-the-scenes efforts are a big part of what makes the experience so memorable each year.
