SPRING 2025 Mid-Western Living | 21 GOODBYE, COLOUR CASTLE. HELLO, NEW CHAPTER! For the past few years, Good Day Lifestyle Co. has been a bright and joyful staple on Perry Street - affectionately known by locals as the “colour castle.” But with their lease coming to an end, owner Emma Baker is stepping into an exciting new chapter. “I know it might feel like a goodbye, but it’s not,” says Emma. “We’re still here, just in a slightly different way for now.” While their beloved bricks-and-mortar store takes a pause, Good Day is moving online temporarily - with the same curation of fun, feel-good fashion, joyful homewares, gifts, and goodies for little ones. And for those nearby? They’ve secured the upstairs space at Loft (just across the road at 18 Perry Street) to manage the online side of the business - including local try-ons and free pickup, with dedicated hours to be shared soon. “We’ll also be keeping our free local delivery service running, so your favourites can come right to your door,” Emma says. This isn’t just a change in location - it’s a creative reset. Emma is excited to explore new offerings and ideas, with whispers of pop-ups, original product designs, and other surprises on the horizon. “Honestly, while it’s bittersweet, I feel so energised about what’s next. This move might just be the spark we need to dream even bigger.” And what keeps her going? “The people,” she smiles. “Helping someone find the perfect dress or the right gift - that connection is everything. That’s what Good Day is all about.” So keep your eyes on their socials, website, and upstairs at Loft - the next Good Day is just getting started. ___ @gooddaylifestyleco gooddaylifestyleco.com
