Expanding Academic Horizons In 2016, responding to the evolving needs of its students, New Hope expanded to include Years 11 and 12. This extension allowed the school to provide a comprehensive educational journey, equipping students with the skills and knowledge necessary for their future endeavours. The first Year 12 student graduated that year, marking a significant milestone and reflecting the hard work and dedication of both students and staff. In 2017 we began offering positions in Years 3 and 4 classes. Enhancing the Learning Environment Playtime is an essential aspect of a child’s development, and in 2019, New Hope enriched this experience by installing new playground equipment. This upgrade provided students with opportunities for fun, exploration, and physical activity, promoting social interaction and enhancing break times. The commitment to improving facilities and extending educational opportunities continued in 2022, adding Years 1 and 2 and moving into new, purpose-built facilities. These state-of-the-art buildings were designed to meet the diverse needs of students, creating an environment conducive to academic, spiritual, and personal development. In 2023, the official opening of the new buildings was a joyous event, celebrated with both on-site schools and the entire school community. This milestone brought together current and past students, families, staff, and the wider community to mark a significant chapter in New Hope’s history. The journey of growth continued into 2024, adding Kindergarten students and a new library. A Continuous Journey As a Christian community, we prioritise building strong partnerships with parents and fostering a sense of fellowship. Our commitment is to support each child’s understanding that they are loved and cherished by God, who created them with a specific purpose. This commitment is reflected in our efforts to provide quality education that helps every student reach their full potential. New Hope was founded in response to the challenge of offering support that ensures all students succeed. We recognise that success looks different for each individual and that some students with complex needs require a tailored approach. 30
