Fast forward a few years and Valley Hope Christian School now has five classes, providing for the individual needs of forty two students, each student made in God’s image with their own God-given purpose; and there’s potential for more growth in numbers in the surrounding areas. Nearly half the school now comes on a bus run by Valley Hope from Grafton. Kara shares her joy in connecting with the students: “I love talking to students about how they are going working in our coffee trailer. A few students couldn’t get through a day without visiting the chickens. The connection and integration of the two schools means that we can work as one body for Christ. Past students are so happy to say hello in the street and tell me how they are going. One student who was very challenging in the classroom is so excited to see me and tell me about his adventures. Past parents tell me that they are so grateful for the care their children received at VHCS. These encounters remind me that at VHCS we do things differently, we see the students as children of God, we show them grace, and our prayer is that they leave knowing who God is and what He has done for them. We are Seed Sowers. We may not see the growth or the fruit during their time at school. However, we trust in God to provide the watering.” What a blessing it is to witness how God has guided so many to establish this school and nurture each student and family. May it continue to bring light and hope to many more in the Clarence Valley region. Sowing Seeds – Trusting God – Praying for the Harvest.
