PACIFIC BROOK CHRISTIAN SCHOOL CARE AND COMMUNITY IN CHRIST Beginnings Have you ever been part of something small and beautiful? It is often something that is dear to the hearts of those who pioneer small communities. As time goes by, the people involved keep the natural intimacy alive by looking out for each other. If you came to such a community as a stranger, you would not be a stranger for long. Wanting to know others well was the very nature of the ‘little school on the hill’, run by the local Presbyterian Church, founded in 1999. As a primary school for the local people, it became home for those who looked for, and found, a school community where everyone was known. The staff were all Christian, and they gave expression to their faith by caring as best they could for the students they had (between 20 and 30) every year. The site of the school, from 2010 known as Muswellbrook Christian School, was an interesting mixture of historic buildings on a steep green hill on which students raced up and down as they played. All the staff knew each other
