With the addition of a second clinician, our team—Annelise, Beth and Klint—successfully expanded speech pathology at WAMS to a weekly service. This surge in capacity has allowed us to support a significantly larger number of clients within the WAMS Wellness Clinic and across the broader community. Furthermore, WAMS transition to a Registered NDIS Provider has enabled more intensive, goal-directed capacity building supports for individuals with permanent communication or swallowing challenges. Goonimoo Playgroup & Early Intervention Our partnership with Goonimoo Playgroup remains a cornerstone of our early intervention strategy. By providing a consistent weekly presence, our Speech Pathologists have worked alongside staff to identify children who may benefit from support, leading to a healthy increase in referrals. A highlight of this year has been the Key Word Sign Project. Our clinicians have supported the Goonimoo team in introducing a "Key Word Sign of the Day" each week. This initiative has been instrumental in demonstrating alternative forms of communication to families, ensuring that every child has a way to express themselves, regardless of where they are in their verbal development.
